Twenty One Pilots reveal trailer for their new concert film “More Than We Ever Imagined”

Notification

Twenty One Pilots return with a cinematic experience that surpasses all expectations. Their new concert film, “More Than We Ever Imagined”, brings the emotion and intensity of Clancy World Tour on the big screen. The duo Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun convey the passion, theatricality and energy of their live performances, through a film that combines emotion, creativity and absolute authenticity

Twenty One Pilots’ new film, “More Than We Ever Imagined,” is more than just a concert film; it’s a dive into the emotion and power of music. Grammy-winning duo Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun have shared the official trailer for the upcoming film, giving fans a first glimpse of an experience that will combine stage intensity with cinematic storytelling.

The film, a collaboration with Trafalgar Releasing, chronicles their historic appearance in Mexico City as part of their Clancy World Tour, in front of an audience of over 65.000, and showcases the preparation, rehearsals and behind-the-scenes moments — where suspense meets dedication.

In the trailer, Tyler Joseph explains how special it is to see so many people gather for a show. "Playing in front of ten people is more stressful than playing in front of sixty thousand," he says, noting that the experience helps him remember why he fell in love with music in the first place.

For his part, Josh Dun talks about the creative challenge behind each performance: each time they try to redefine the stage and offer the audience something different. “We’re always trying new things, even if we don’t know if they’ll succeed,” says the band’s drummer.

“More Than We Ever Imagined” is full of emotion and theatricality. The two artists are featured discussing the power of their music, connecting with the audience, and the freedom they feel on stage. “They give us permission to be ourselves on stage,” says Joseph. “Through music, we can become who we really want to be.”

The film will be released on February 26 in theaters and IMAX worldwide, with exclusive screenings starting February 25. Pre-sale has already begun on the official website of Twenty One Pilots, where fans can secure their tickets for this unique experience.

The release of the film coincides with a particularly creative period for the band. Following the release of their album “Breach” in September, Twenty One Pilots have confirmed that they are still evolving. “Breach”, the follow-up to 2024’s “Clancy”, was described by NME as “a sonically daring work that shines when the band indulges in more experimental, atmospheric sounds”.

At the same time, the film “More Than We Ever Imagined” serves as a reflection of the last decade for the band — a period that transformed them from an underground act to a global phenomenon. Joseph and Dun redefine the term “concert film,” transforming it into a journey that balances art and emotion.

In the trailer, we see moments of intense energy, but also quieter images, where the band prepares psychologically before taking the stage. These contrasts reflect the very DNA of Twenty One Pilots: sensitivity and strength, creativity and simplicity, light and darkness.

The film’s aesthetic harks back to the visuals that characterize each era of the band – from the mystical atmosphere of “Trench” to the retro-futuristic image of “Scaled and Icy.” The lighting, direction, and photography create a result that is more reminiscent of an art film than a simple concert documentary.

But beyond the impressive production, the heart of the project remains human. Joseph has spoken many times about how the band's music is born through personal explorations and internal dialogues. "Music can be a mirror or a refuge," he has stated. "We choose to use it as an escape — a brighter, more real world."

The film's premiere coincides with their major European tour, which includes appearances at All Points East Festival in London, Sziget Festival, Electric Castle and Mad Cool Festival, where they will share the stage with The Cure and other top artists.

After more than a decade of musical journey, Twenty One Pilots continue to redefine the boundaries of what “live performance” means. “More Than We Ever Imagined” is not just a film — it’s a statement of identity. It’s a reminder that art never stops evolving, and that music, when it’s real, can become a universal experience.

As Tyler Joseph says at the end of the trailer: “The older we get, the more we realize that everything we experience is more incredible than we ever imagined.”
