Over 50 audiobooks for iconic albums from Kendrick Lamar, Madonna, Britney Spears and more, come to life through voice.
The Spotify is changing the way we listen to — and read — music. In collaboration with the publications Bloomsbury, the platform brings to its service more than 50 audiobooks of the well-known series 33 ⅓, which explore the history behind some of the most iconic albums of all time.
Among the titles, we find tributes to works such as “To Pimp a Butterfly” of Kendrick Lamar, the "Black out" Britney Spears, the "Erotica" Madonna, but also albums by The Beatles, Radiohead, Cardi B, Janelle Monáe, Johnny Cash, Pink Floyd, ABBA, Nirvana, Fleetwood Mac and dozens more.
Some of the audiobooks will be enriched with special comments from Spotify music editors, while 10 of the titles will also feature a new feature, the “Follow Along”, which includes synchronized images, graphics, and photos during the listening.

The audiobooks will be available exclusively in streaming format from May 13 and feature texts from renowned music critics and authors, read by professional narrators. For Spotify, this is a significant move that redefines the meaning of music content.
