Imagine Dragons' Dan Reynolds presents Night Street Games' first video game, "Last Flag," a 5v5 shooter inspired by a 70s TV show, with an open beta now available on Steam. "Last Flag" combines strategy, action, and original music by Dan Reynolds himself, marking a new creative direction beyond the music scene.
Dan Reynolds is no longer limited to the stage and the studio. The frontman of Imagine Dragons is taking a bold step into the gaming world, officially announcing the first game from Night Street Games, the studio he founded with his brother Mac. The project is titled “Last Flag” and has already attracted the interest of both the band’s fans and the gaming community.
“Last Flag” is described as a fast-paced 5v5 shooter, with the basic idea being a revamped version of the classic Capture The Flag. But this is not just another typical shooter. The concept is set in an environment inspired by a 70s TV show, with a strong aesthetic, distinctive characters and a setting reminiscent of a live television broadcast.
According to the official description, players are asked to hide their flag, locate the opposing team's flag and return it to their base, holding it for one minute to secure victory. Strategy, teamwork and quick decisions are the key elements that define the game. "Last Flag" emphasizes cooperation and not exclusively on shooting accuracy, which differentiates it from other titles in the category.

Dan Reynolds had already given the first hints about the project back in 2021, when he revealed that he was working on a video game that excited him as much as anything. As he has stated, he was actively involved in the creative process. He wrote the entire soundtrack, lent his voice to characters, and created the initial sketches for their design, before professional artists took over to develop the final visual result.
His personal involvement shows that “Last Flag” is not just an investment or a side activity. It is a project that bears his stamp. The music plays a decisive role, with him ensuring that the sound of the game matches the intensity and atmosphere of the action. For an artist accustomed to filling stadiums, transferring that energy to a digital environment is a new challenge.
Studio Night Street Games states that its goal is to create multiplayer games with soul. “Last Flag” is the first step in this direction. The team behind the title wants to offer an experience that combines fun, competition, and creative identity.

The open beta for “Last Flag” is now available on Steam and will remain active until March 2. It was preceded by a free demo in December, giving players a first taste of the game’s world. The community’s response is considered crucial for the improvement and final form of the title, which is expected to be officially released later this year.
Mac Reynolds has explained that the idea is based on the two brothers' childhood memories of playing Capture The Flag in the woods at night. That sense of hide-and-seek, strategy, and suspense carries over to "Last Flag," emphasizing cleverness and cooperation over sheer speed.
The game aims to be accessible. It doesn't require you to be a top shooter player to participate and have fun. Strategy and teamwork are more important, creating a more balanced experience for different skill levels.

Dan Reynolds' relationship with gaming is not new. Imagine Dragons have been associated with the industry for years. The band has written music for titles such as “League Of Legends” and “Starfield,” while their songs have been used in campaigns for the Nintendo Switch and the “Arcane” series. In 2014, they even appeared at The Game Awards, performing a medley of “The Legend Of Zelda” with Koji Kondo.
Reynolds himself has admitted to even being late to concerts because he was engrossed in playing “League Of Legends.” His love for video games is genuine and timeless, which makes “Last Flag” a natural progression and not just a business move.
“Last Flag” comes at a time when more and more artists are expanding into new creative fields. However, Dan Reynolds’ case stands out because he combines personal involvement, musical identity, and a clear vision of what he wants the game to be like.
With an open beta underway and an official release expected later this year, “Last Flag” looks to be one of the most interesting crossover projects between music and gaming for 2026. Dan Reynolds proves that creativity is not limited to one medium, but can also find space to express itself in a digital world full of action, strategy, and imagination.
