Dua Lipa can't hide her joy about the moment she took the stage with Gwen Stefani. From childlike wonder to a live musical magic, the experience was unforgettable
Η Dua Lipa is experiencing one of the brightest moments of her career, and it seems that nothing can dim her shine. A few hours after her appearance in Los Angeles, where she took the stage with the iconic Gwen Stefani, the singer still can't believe that she has lived one of her biggest dreams. In a recent interview, she revealed that this collaboration was "a childhood dream come true."
She grew up listening to Gwen Stefani's voice and songs, from her No Doubt years to her solo career. She admired her not only for her music, but also for her dynamic presence, style and attitude to life. So when she suddenly found herself next to her, singing "Don't Speak" together, the moment became magical. "I've admired her since I was little. I was always inspired by her strength, her voice, her personality. Singing with her was something I never imagined I would experience," said an emotional Dua Lipa.
Their relationship, she revealed, began in 2020 when Dua invited Gwen to participate in a remix of “Physical” for her “Club Future Nostalgia” project. Although they had never met in person at the time, their collaboration was born out of their love of music and mutual appreciation. Now, a few years later, life has brought them together on the same stage — and their fans couldn’t be more excited.
Dua still remembers the moment she saw her next to her for the first time. "I grew up watching her in music videos, on TV and on red carpets. And suddenly, I see her standing next to me, singing the same song that marked my childhood. There is no more beautiful moment than that," she said honestly.

The artist also talked about the next steps of Gwen Stefani, who is preparing a big comeback with No Doubt at the impressive “Sphere” in Las Vegas. Dua joked that she “doesn’t want to get into trouble” because the news leaked shortly before the concert. “It’s so exciting! I can’t wait to see them in person. “Sphere” is something unique. I’ve been there a few times already and every time it feels like you’re living an experience from another planet,” she said, showing how impressed she was by the venue.
The conversation naturally couldn’t help but turn to her latest album, “Radical Optimism.” Dua described it as “her favorite work to date,” because through it she managed to rediscover herself and reconnect with love. The album’s message—that even in the most difficult moments, you can find light and hope—seems to have become her personal philosophy.
"Everything I felt then, now comes back to me through the world. I feel grateful. If I hadn't written Radical Optimism, if I hadn't put all that energy of love into my music, I might not have even met Callum [Turner]," she said with a smile, referring to her partner.
She admits that love has also started to influence her music. "Love has influenced my sound. The new music is happy, bright, fun. I feel like I'm still in the discovery phase, but I'm really enjoying it," she revealed. Although she avoided revealing details about her next project, she confirmed that she is working again with Mark Ronson — one of her favorite collaborators.

“Mark is one of a kind. He inspires me so much and we work so well together. I’m really excited about what we’re doing,” she said without giving further details. Rumors about her next album, already known as “DL4” by her fans, are heating up every day, with many believing it will be her most personal work yet.
Dua looks more mature, more peaceful and more real than ever. Her energy remains explosive, but her attitude has a calmness that comes from confidence and the joy of creation. Those who saw her on stage with Gwen Stefani speak of a moment full of emotion, but also a natural connection between two women who managed to transform pop music with their own identity.
