In a heartfelt confession on the show "Weekenders", Ioulia Kallimani revealed her role models, her childhood dreams and her great ambition: to pursue a 50-year career in Greek song, following in the footsteps of the great women who inspired her.
"I grew up with voices like Anna Vissi, Charoula Alexiou and Marinella. I used to say 'I want to be like them'," said the singer, underlining her respect and admiration for the women who left an indelible mark on Greek music.
Her vision is clear: a stable, long-term career with substance and recognition. “I want to fill stadiums and be able to say, like them, that I kept the flame burning for 50 years,” she passionately emphasized.
Ioulia did not hesitate to mention the lighter moments of everyday life: "It has happened that people don't recognize me on the street when I wear glasses. They have confused me with Katerina Stikoudi and Malou - and you know what? It doesn't bother me, I find it cute."
Authentic, down-to-earth and full of ambition, Ioulia Kallimani shows that she has all the makings to write her own history in music – and to inspire future generations, just as they inspired her.
