“Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour” kicked off in September 2024 in Quebec and traveled to more than 100 cities on five continents, filling stadiums and arenas around the world. At the center of the show, a striking white cube – a futuristic design stage, full of pyrotechnics, lighting effects and impressive 3D projections reminiscent of science fiction.
James Cameron appears in the trailer guiding Eilish behind the cameras, pointing out that “no one has ever filmed a concert film on this scale”With his experience in films like Avatar: The Way of Water, Cameron uses groundbreaking cinematography to capture the concert experience in a way that makes the viewer feel like they are on stage.

But amidst the energy and excitement, there's also a more emotional side. Midway through the trailer, Billie reads a touching letter from her brother and longtime musical collaborator, Finneas, who wasn't on the tour this time around as he focused on his own solo career. His letter talks about their early tours, the times they spent together, and his joy at watching her grow as an artist.
Eilish, visibly emotional, says it's the first time she'll be on stage without him by her side. However, Finneas has made a few guest appearances, including the last show in San Francisco, where the two brothers shared a touching hug in front of the audience.
The trailer alternates moments of tension and emotion, with Eilish showing that this project is not just a music documentary — it's an emotional coming-of-age account of an artist learning to stand alone on stage.
Cameron, known for his perfectionism and cinematic philosophy, seems to find in Billie a new kind of protagonist — a figure who unites the human with the transcendent, youth with wisdom, and music with the art of the image.
The film will be shown in 3D format and promises to transport audiences to an audiovisual universe where pop music and cinema become one. First screenings will begin on December 18, while the worldwide release will take place on March 20, 2026.
After the The World's a Little Blurry and Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles, Billie Eilish looks set to rewrite the rules of musical films. This time, not just as a pop icon, but also as a creator exploring new frontiers.
